Review: Hi God! How Are You? by Manoj Kumar Sharma

Rating: 5/5

What drew me into Hi God! How Are You? was how it promised to be an intimate conversation with the divine. Having always been curious about spirituality and quotidian life, the book opened a somewhat unique door through which I engaged this general inquiry. With both frankness and contemplation in mind, Sharma begins to challenge me, as well as the readers who identify with me, to rethink our relationship with faith, society, and us.

My Journey Through the Book

I immersed myself in the narrative as I continued turning its pages. Instead of depicting divinity in some remote, abstract way, the book was written as though God were in reality a close confidant listening to my deepest questions and doubts. This manner resonated so much with me, as it reminds me of my own conversations when I usually allow myself to be vulnerable and raw with the ideas of my purpose and place in the world.

Exploring the Themes

Spiritual Inquiry:
It struck me how much the protagonist’s inquiries echoed my own inner musings on existence and purpose. This book does not shrink from the big, sometimes even intimidating, questions. What it does is allow me to reflect upon the personal beliefs I have formed and to think about what meaning I am putting on my experiences.

Social Reflection:
On top of that self-reflection, I enjoyed how the narrative also commented on social issues. Reading this made me consider the parallelism between the protagonist’s struggles and my observations on social inequality and modern life in democracy putting into consideration how the structures around us create our beliefs and behavior..

Hope and Resilience:
Amidst the questioning and critical reflections, however, ran a continual thread of hope. It was comforting to know that amid uncertainty in life and in regard to social issues, it is empowering and important to have hope. This part of the book brought back memories of how resilience often comes from the willingness to be vulnerable and seek understanding in the context of uncertainty-ish at best.

Writing Style

What I found truly mesmerizing about the content is how Sharma maintains a conversational tone throughout. The dialogue format makes me feel as if I were present at an intimate discussion, one in which each question and answer pondered was directed not towards a faraway audience but aimed right between my eyes. Simple language has helped me to comprehend complex concepts without being overstressed by them. The pacing was good enough to allow me to contemplate on every deep moment before moving on to the next.

By reading Hi God! How Are You?, I was set on a journey personal in nature; on each and every page, I had to look inward, examine my spirit, and consider my own vision about spirituality and society. This book had in it so much more than a story; it engaged me in dialogue with my own inner self and pushed me to open my inner vision and face my own thoughts, beliefs-in short, to think about a lot of things in a different light. I cherish this interactive reading with books, and the experiences are seldom found in other works.

Final Thought

According to me, Hi God! How Are You? isn't merely a novel-it is a reflective experience that has truly expanded my view about the divine realm and the world in which we live in. Manoj Kumar Sharma puts forth a very simple yet profound narrative-that has challenged me to question, reflect, appreciate-in itself, the beauty of introspection. Whether you are into deepen-ing your spiritual paths or just reading a narrative that challenges traditional thinking; this book is one that has left an impression on me.
